What is a nevus spilus?

Nevus spilus is a CALM that contains darkly pigmented, 1- to 3-mm–diameter macules or papules. The lesion is present at birth and can involve any cutaneous surface. The darkly pigmented macules and papules of nevus spilus are junctional or compound nevi.
