What serum abnormality has been associated with scleromyxedema? Scleromyxedema is nearly always associated with serum paraproteinemia, usually IgG with lambda light chains. Rare cases with kappa light chains have been reported. Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia or multiple myeloma may be rarely associated.
