Which is the most common type of vasculitis seen in children? Henoch-Schönlein or anaphylactoid purpura. This type of vasculitis frequently follows upper respiratory tract infections and is characterized by the finding of IgA depositions in the blood vessels. The disease may affect only skin, but arthritis, gastrointestinal pain and bleeding, and kidney and central nervous system (CNS) disease may occur.
