What is infantile digital fibromatosis? Infantile digital fibromatosis is a rare tumor composed of myofibroblasts that develops in infancy and early childhood on the fingers and toes. The primary lesion is a skin-colored or red tumor usually located on the lateral or dorsal surface of the digit. Histologically, they consist of myofibroblasts with characteristic eosinophilic cytoplasmic inclusions composed of actin filaments.
