How is pityriasis rubra pilaris treated?

Treatment strategies for PRP depend on the extent of involvement and how much the patient is bothered. Lubrication with emollients and topical corticosteroids are rarely helpful. The treatment of choice is oral retinoids, with methotrexate being reserved for retinoid-resistant cases.
