- Conjunctival congestion
- Oropharyngeal lesions (mucosal injection, strawberry tongue, fissured lips)
- Hand and foot erythema
- Exanthem
These findings, along with lymphadenopathy, constitute the minor criteria for Kawasaki disease. Four of the five minor plus the major criterion of fever >38.38° C are necessary for the diagnosis. The hand and foot erythema may demonstrate variable edema followed by acral desquamation about 2 weeks after the onset. The exanthem is a generalized macular erythema.
