Do patients with secondary syphilis have any symptoms? The most common reported symptoms include malaise (23% to 46%), headache (9% to 46%), fever (5% to 39%), pruritus (42%), and loss of appetite (25%). Less common symptoms include painful eyes, joint or bone pain, meningismus, iritis, and hoarseness. Some textbooks incorrectly state that pruritus is uncommon in secondary syphilis. |
